Product Overview
Versatile Demonstration Motor/Generator – DC & AC Capable
This hands-on demonstration unit functions as both a DC motor (shunt and series) and an AC/DC generator, making it ideal for exploring the core principles of electromagnetism and energy conversion. Built on a durable plastic base, the model features a clearly visualized stator made of ferromagnetic sheet—half painted red, half blue—to illustrate magnetic polarity under DC power.
The stator contains two built-in coils wired in series, with external sockets for easy power connection. A large rectangular rotor (14 × 7 cm), color-coded to match the stator, is mounted on a central axle. A hand crank at the rear allows for manual generation, while a front-mounted commutator enables switching between AC and DC operation.
Adjustable metal brushes, connected to standard spade plug sockets, ensure optimal contact with the commutator and enhance experimental reliability. Ideal for classroom demonstrations of Faraday’s Law, the motor effect, and energy transfer, this unit encourages student engagement through real-time observation and manipulation.
Approx. dimensions: 25 cm (H) × 26 cm (W) × 17 cm (D).
