This typical monocot stem model demonstrates both the cross section and longitudinal section of the corn stem. It is useful when teaching arrangements of specialized tissues such as the different layers of the rind, fibrovascular bundles, sieve tubes, and other important structures. Detailed painting and careful sculpturing define the important organs and clearly reveal physical characteristics. The model is made of durable PVC and hand painted in attractive colors.
