Product Overview
Apatite is one of the few common phosphate minerals. While often found as an accessory mineral in igneous rock, it is also found as concretions or detrital clasts in sedimentary rocks. With a standard Mohs hardness of 5, and it's relatively uncommon crystal habit, Apatite is excellent for mineralogy labs and geology classroom demonstrations. While each specimen will vary slightly in shape, size and color, it will measure approximately 3" in length. Each is individually packaged, labeled & barcoded for easy identification and storage.
