As a plagioclase feldspar, oligoclase is endlessly useful as a tool to teach mineralogy. With a standard hardness of 6 on the Mohs scale, 2 planes of cleavage, and a characteristic nonmetallic luster, feldspar makes for a wonderful example of many mineral physical properties. This 1" sample can be used to great effect in any geology classrooms learning about mineralogy or igneous petrology. It is also a great addition to any identification exercises, especially when paired with an alkali feldspar.
While each specimen will vary slightly in shape, size and color, it will measure approximately 1" in length. Pack of 12. Each set is individually packaged, labeled & barcoded for easy identification and storage.
