Product Overview
A metamorphic rock that has undergone moderate levels of alteration, schist is good for demonstrating the effect of metamorphism on various minerals. Ideal for identification & classification exercises. Schist is also a great rock for demonstrating foliation, making it useful for lessons on metamorphic rock properties. While each specimen will vary slightly in shape, size and color, it will measure approximately 3" in length.
