Product Overview

Granite forms slowly in shallow or evolved magma chambers, and is also commonly found as magmatic intrusions in the crust. The large crystals are indicative of a slow cooling rate, and make mineral identification simple. Excellent for classroom mineral study and identification. A must-have sample when discussing rock types, the rock cycle, and the formation, classification, and identification of igneous rocks. While each specimen will vary slightly in shape, size and color, it will measure approximately 3" in length. Each is individually packaged, labeled & barcoded for easy identification and storage.
