Product Overview
This package contains 500 grams of Nutrient Agar, suitable for growing a wide variety of bacteria and some fungi in petri dishes or culture tube slants. The dehydrated agar is conveniently stored in a plastic open-mouth bottle. To prepare, mix 23 grams of the medium with 1 liter of deionized water, bring to a boil while stirring to ensure complete dissolution, autoclave, then pour into petri dishes or culture tubes and allow to cool and solidify. Each bottle produces 21.5 liters of growth medium.
This product is specifically designed for use in science education laboratories, and a certificate of analysis is not provided.
