The classic apparatus demonstrates the divisibility of water into oxygen and hydrogen gas.The Brownlee Electrolysis Apparatus performs electrolysis using J-hook type platinum electrodes positioned under collection tubes that are attached to an acid-resistant base. Offered in configuration with and without glass beaker, giving you the option to use a jar of your choosing.
Replacement electrode sets with or without platinum available for purchase. Each have a piece of platinum foil attached to a coated-aluminum J-hook with screw-type binding posts for making electrical connections.
