Product Overview
This package contains 1000 grams of Luria (Miller's) Agar, ideal for growing and maintaining recombinant E. coli cultures for genetic research. The dehydrated agar is conveniently stored in a plastic open-mouth bottle. To prepare, mix 40 grams of the agar with 1 liter of deionized water, bring to a boil while stirring to ensure complete dissolution, autoclave, then pour into petri dishes or culture tubes and let cool and solidify. Each bottle yields 25 liters of growth medium.
