Product Overview
This package contains 100 grams of Nutrient Agar, suitable for growing a wide variety of bacteria and some fungi in petri dishes or culture tube slants. The dehydrated agar is conveniently stored in a plastic open-mouth bottle. To prepare, mix 23 grams of the medium with 1 liter of deionized water, bring to a boil while stirring to ensure complete dissolution, autoclave, then pour into petri dishes or culture tubes and allow to cool and solidify. Each bottle produces 4.3 liters of growth medium.
