Product Overview
Demonstrate inertia and Newton's First Law of Motion with this classic device. The apparatus comprises a base, spring, receiver post and plastic ball. The ball is placed on top of an acrylic square, which is then placed on top of the post. A metal bar acts like a spring, which is pulled tight and then released, shooting the acrylic square out from under the ball. The ball will remain on the post, similar to the pulling a table cloth out from under a set of dishes works. The acrylic square in this model is supplied in bright green color instead of clear, permitting observation by large groups. Dimensions (w × d × h): 180 × 130 × 135 mm.
