The NaRiKa Spark Timer, Model α-2 offers high performance in a compact, classroom-friendly design. This updated model replaces the earlier version with a red casing and eliminates the seldom-used bench clamp for simpler operation and reduced setup time.
Designed for quantitative studies of uniform and accelerated motion using a heat-sensitive tickertape. The apparatus produces double-dot time marks at fixed intervals, allowing students to calculate velocity, acceleration, and displacement accurately.
The 10 Hz setting ensures clear, well-spaced marks even for slower dynamic carts, while the low-friction discharge needles create consistent dots at higher speeds. A blinking LED and audible signal indicate that the timer is active, providing clear feedback during experiments.
