Product Overview
Students can build their own eight rung ladder segment of the DNA molecule. Two helix models consisting of 4 adenine, 4 cytosine, 4 guanine, and 4 thymine bases; 16 deoxyribose sugars; and 16 phosphate groups are built with each kit. The components, fully reusable, are simply assembled or disassembled. The model is flexible and can be twisted to form the double helix structure. The individual model segments can be connected together to form a giant double helix model. Each kit includes a total of 96 plastic pieces supplied in a transparent plastic storage box with hinged lid.
