Product Overview
A complete set of equipment for performing experiments in elementary optics in a very economical manner. All components are designed to have compatible optical characteristics and to give results of acceptable accuracy. The entire setup assembles and disassembles quickly and stores compactly. The various experiments cover: the formation of real and virtual images by convex lenses; determination of focal length of concave and convex lenses; basic construction of a compound microscope and refracting telescope; and various means of observing images and predicting their size and location.
A meter stick is required, but not included. Light source input: DC 6 V (a battery holder pack such as one shown in the photo and four D-cells, or a low voltage laboratory power supply).
