A typical perennial dicot stem is depicted by this model. Both cross section and longitudinal section are shown. It is excellent for use in the biology and general science classroom or laboratory when teaching the arrangements of specialized tissues and comparing it to the monocot stem arrangement. Differentiating colors are used for definition of the various stem tissues such as bark, cambium, xylem, phloem and pith, and other important structures. The model is made of durable PVC and hand painted in attractive colors. Model dimensions including base: (h×w×d): 34×28×18 cm.
