A spring-loaded launcher fires a projectile horizontally into a catch block mounted on a low-friction pendulum. The resulting swing is measured by a lightweight pointer indicating the pendulum’s maximum height—allowing students to calculate the projectile’s initial velocity using mass and displacement data.
The spring gun provides three selectable launch velocities, and the set includes three balls of differing masses (aluminum, brass, and steel) for comparative studies.
