This apparatus allows students to investigate conservation of momentum in inelastic and elastic collisions. Can also be used for studying conservation of energy in collisions. The kit includes a launch track with mounting hardware (a bench clamp), adjustable target support, a range of collision balls (two steel, one glass, and one hollow wooden ball), a plumb line for locating the center of the incident ball at moment of impact, and 5 sheets of carbon paper for recording points where two balls hit the floor after colliding with each other.
