A comprehensive set of 24 absorber plates designed for investigating the absorption properties of alpha, beta, and gamma radiation. The set includes a wide range of materials—from tissue paper and thin foils for alpha particle experiments, to thicker aluminum plates for beta, and lead plates for gamma absorption. Each absorber has an active area of 60 × 60 mm and is stored neatly in a durable cardboard case with a molded plastic insert for secure organization.
Also included are three plastic support plates for use with thick lead absorbers that do not fit standard Castle grooves. A spring-loaded plunger and base are supplied for securely holding both the absorber and radioactive source in consistent alignment, ensuring accurate and repeatable measurements.
