Vinyl Toluene (VT) is a reactive aromatic monomer, similar to styrene but offering improved handling and performance characteristics. It is widely used as a reactive diluent in unsaturated polyester resins (UPRs), reducing viscosity and enhancing resin flow for applications in fiberglass composites, cultured marble, and coatings. VT also serves as a crucial monomer in the production of various copolymers, imparting hardness, chemical resistance, and heat deflection properties to polymers used in coatings, inks, and adhesives.
