Product Overview

The IEC Franck-Hertz apparatus is a compact, self-contained laboratory unit used to demonstrate the quantized nature of atomic energy levels. It features a thyratron-type electron tube filled with Xenon gas, along with electrodes that allow the excitation of gas molecules through electron collisions.

The unit requires external power supplies for both the tube heater and the anode/cathode voltage. To aid observation, the system includes a built-in 9V battery and amplifier, allowing the small resulting currents to be displayed on standard bench meters—no galvanometer is needed.

A detailed 15-page experiment guide is included to support setup and instruction.
