Product Overview
A photocell is illuminated with monochromatic light of different wavelengths from a filament lamp with interference filters. A digital display is used to indicate both the current through the internal photocell and the backing voltage applied to the cell.
Experiments can be performed in the following areas:
• Photoelectric Effect - that light can create an electric current
• Illumination/Current Relationship - that current changes with luminous intensity
• Energy of a Photon - that a photon can drive an electron from a surface
• Planck’s Constant - the amazing relationship between energy and wavelength
• Energy Distribution - where the energy is expended
What's included:
• Photoelectric Effect instrument main unit
• 5 x Mounted colored glass filters calibrated in nanometres wavelength
• One 120V, 25W T10 incandescent light bulb
• Porcelain light socket with cord
• Power adapter for main unit
• Experiment manual
Power adapters supplied with this unit have been tested, investigated and found to comply with the requirements of the Standard(s) for Power Supplies with Extra Low Voltage Class 2 Outputs (CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 223) and are identified with the cETL Listed Mark.
