For demonstrating mechanical advantage and the principle of conservation of energy. Consists of a plastic wheel having four grooves of different diameters 35, 50, 65, and 105 mm. The grooves are of ample width to avoid run-off of the cords and are flat-bottomed to permit exact diameter measurements. With a small hole at each groove for holding a knotted cord. The wheel is supported on a steel rod by a ball bearing and has very little inertia, thus it is responsive to small changes in torque. Can be fitted to a ring stand with a right-angle clamp (not included).
