The stainless steel crucible can be used for any typical use that a porcelain crucible would otherwise be used. The temperature it can withstand is -180 to 800 degrees Celsius. The lid fits loosely on the top to allow gases to escape. The size is 1.75 inches height x 1.75 inches top measurement x 1 inch bottom measurement.
