For demonstrating radiant heat and showing the greater absorption of radiation by a black surface than by a reflecting surface. Four lightweight vanes, each with a dull black finish on one side, are mounted within a partially evacuated lightweight glass bulb attached to a stable glass support base. When exposed to light or heat the black sides of the vanes will move away from the source. The system is well balanced and sensitive. Bulb diameter, 90 mm. Height, 215 mm.
